Overview
Motorsport Vision (MSV) is seeking a commercially-minded and analytically strong Business Partner to support our Chief Executive, Jonathan Palmer, and Senior Leadership Team in a high-impact role within the UK’s leading motorsport operator.
This is a rare opportunity to influence strategic decision-making across a diverse and fast-moving business. MSV operates major race circuits including Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Oulton Park, and runs a wide range of activities from international race events and retail to hospitality and driving experiences. MSV is also currently developing spectacular Donington Hall into a superb 55-bedroom luxury country house hotel and, outside the UK, owns Circuito de Navarra in north-east Spain with an exciting project at its Couvron site in France.
Responsibilities
- Performance Reporting: Deliver timely, high-quality reporting and dashboards to support the CEO and senior leadership in understanding business performance.
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain Excel-based models to inform pricing, commercial strategy, and investment decisions.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with business unit leaders to identify growth opportunities, enhance reporting transparency, and ensure insights drive real business impact.
- Decision Support: Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that help shape strategic priorities across the business.
- Process Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities in internal reporting, data flows, and performance review processes to increase agility and insight quality.
- Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct ad hoc strategic research and benchmarking to inform decision-making and maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a finance, FP&A, commercial strategy, consulting or business analysis role.
- Previous experience working with businesses in the hotel and leisure industry would be helpful, but not essential.
- Education: CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred but not essential.
- Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements and experience analysing business performance drivers and growth opportunities.
- Financial modelling: Advanced Excel skills and experience building robust financial models; Power BI or similar tools a plus.
- Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate insights clearly and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Adaptable: Works well in a dynamic environment and can operate without rigid structure, with priorities evolving based on business needs.
- Motorsport Interest: An enthusiasm for motorsport or operationally intensive, customer-facing businesses is desirable.
- Location: This role can be based at Brands Hatch - Kent, Donington Park - Leicestershire or Bedford Autodrome, with occasional travel to other MSV circuits. A full UK driving licence is essential.
