A leading renewable energy company in Kidderminster is looking for an enthusiastic Finance Business Partner to enhance financial performance and drive insightful decision-making. The role involves preparing financial statements, leading the Credit Control team, and collaborating with senior management on financial projects. The Finance Business Partner will prepare accurate, timely financial statements and provide insightful analysis to help senior management streamline costs and improve overall financial performance. They will lead the Credit Control team to achieve key KPIs, work with the Director of Finance to enhance processes, support ad‑hoc projects and system improvements and maintain strong relationships across the business to ensure financial considerations shape key decisions. The role also involves contributing to annual budgets and rolling forecasts, implementing robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and coordinating with external auditors for a smooth year‑end audit.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, collaborative and confident in turning financial insight into meaningful business impact. It offers the chance to work closely with senior leaders, improve processes and play a key part in driving overall performance.
You’ll be someone who plans ahead, stays organised and thrives when managing multiple priorities at once. You think critically, anticipate risks and keep projects on track through clear targets, structured reviews and strong resource planning.
You’ll also bring strong customer focus, clear communication and solid commercial judgement. You build positive relationships, adapt your style to your audience and explain complex information clearly. With a good understanding of financial drivers, you make sound decisions, achieve goals and work collaboratively to support strong team performance.
Produce accurate and compliant company financial statements by working day 3
30% – Monthly – Financial statements issued on time with no material errors
Lead the Credit Control to hit KPIs and improve or implement new processes
20% – Weekly 1‑to‑1s – Improved debtor days, cash collection reduction in debt older than 12 months
Work with Department Heads & SLT on systems, projects and commercial decisions; build financial models for Sales and Operations
30% – Monthly – Quarterly cost‑reduction targets achieved (labour, carriage, supplier fees etc.)
Support the DoF with forecasting, retentions, financial planning and audit activity
20% – Ad hoc – Successful delivery of projects to agreed timelines and quality standards
