Finance Business Partner

Location: Stoke on Trent / Birmingham

Hours of work: 37.5

As Finance Business Partner, you will take a leading role in driving commercial insight and financial strategy across a portfolio of key accounts within ISS UK.

Job Description

Acting as a trusted advisor, you\'ll provide real-time analysis, challenge assumptions, and deliver the tools that enable informed decision-making at all levels of the business.

You will take full ownership of commercial pricing activity across your area, including new bids and contract retentions, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure competitiveness while managing risk and safeguarding long-term value creation for both ISS and the client.

You will be responsible for end-to-end financial oversight across the contract, reporting all contractual and financial matters to internal leadership and the client team, while playing a critical role in supporting the wider business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with ISS teams, stakeholders, and partners to support service delivery and commercial decision-making
  • Support the business in contract negotiations, pricing execution, and driving process improvements
  • Ensure adherence to customer contract governance, including clear reporting, action tracking, and risk mitigation
  • Identify and help close performance and compliance gaps, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting
  • Support governance processes, working closely with Procurement to optimise supplier agreements and maintenance schedules
  • Assist the Senior Finance Business Partner and Key Account Managers with strategic planning and commercial performance tracking
  • Contribute to period-end and year-end reporting, support audit requests, and improve processes across the finance function
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Qualified or Part Qualified (CA, CIMA, ACCA) with commercial finance experience in a service contract environment
  • Strong client-facing background with proven communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive, professional, and adaptable with a positive attitude towards change
  • Confident working independently, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Highly numerate and detail-focused with strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and financial systems
  • Results-driven with good market awareness relevant to ISS and its clients
