Job description

Finance Business Partner – Shrewsbury – Temporary – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm – Circa £40,000 - £45,000 – We are working with a prestigious business based in Shrewsbury who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the business on a temporary basis until April 2026, possibly longer.

Responsibilities
  • Provide finance business partnering support for three separate sites
  • Act as the first point of contact on financial matters for the sites
  • Work with budget managers at the sites and the centralised area budget managers to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
  • Alongside this, the Finance Business Partner will be assigned ad-hoc projects to continually improve the financial reporting and planning of the sites
  • Prepare and produce management accounts and variance analysis
  • Using Microsoft excel, design and develop reporting packs, commentary and analysis for budget holders
  • Prepare annual budget and forecast process for the designated budget holders
  • Review and challenge budget assumptions to ensure the budgets onward submitted for consolidation are robust
  • Support the Management Accountant in the consolidation of the whole business budget and 5-year plan for submission
  • Ensure that cost centres and approval flows for are kept up to date with changes in budget holders and are set up in a manner that aid budget holders and their managers to manage their finances and for reporting, and analysis purposes
  • Continual improvement of budget holders' understanding of process and accounting for their particular areas
Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a similar role. Ideally you will be fully qualified but this isn't essential.
