Finance Assistant (Part-Time)

£33,000 FTE | 28 hours per week | Permanent

Glasgow | Office based with some flexibility

A great opportunity has come up for a Finance Assistant (Part-Time) to join a well established organisation with multiple income streams and a busy operational environment. This is a varied part time role within a small, supportive finance team and would suit someone who enjoys hands on work, variety and taking ownership of day to day finance tasks.

You will work closely with the Finance Director across purchases, sales, payroll input, cash handling and reconciliations, helping to keep the finance function running smoothly throughout the week.

The Role
  • Process purchase and sales invoices
  • Maintain accurate ledger entries and support payment runs
  • Input payroll hours and collate timesheets
  • Count, reconcile and bank cash received through the business
  • Complete reconciliations and simple journals
  • Handle customer and supplier queries
  • Support general administration including filing, data entry and documentation

This is a practical, busy role with exposure to a range of different operational areas within the business.

What We Are Looking For
  • Experience in purchase ledger, sales ledger or a similar finance role
  • Confident with basic reconciliations and handling cash
  • Comfortable working independently within a small two person team
  • Organised, adaptable and willing to support across varied tasks
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, steady approach

Training will be provided on QuickBooks, BrightPay and internal processes.

Working Pattern
  • 28 hours per week
  • Flexible structure available, such as:
    • Four 7 hour days
    • Five shorter set days
    • Other consistent patterns considered
  • Must be on site Mondays and Fridays (key financial activity days)
  • One day from home can be considered for the right candidate
Salary and Benefits
  • £33,000 FTE (pro rated for 28 hours)
  • Annual salary review each June
