Job summary

A leading finance recruitment agency is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to support a market-leading business in Hoddesdon. The ideal candidate will manage purchase and sales ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare VAT returns. Qualifications include AAT, ACA, or ACCA status or studies, with experience in finance roles preferred. Skills in ERP systems and Excel are critical, along with a high level of organisation and communication. This role offers a full-time, temporary position with a chance to transition to permanent.

Qualifications

• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or studying, with study support available.
• Experience in a similar Finance Assistant/AP & AR role is essential.
• Confident in using ERP systems and Excel, including lookups and pivots.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Purchase Ledger and supplier payment runs.
• Maintain the Sales Ledger, issuing invoices and statements.
• Complete daily and weekly bank reconciliations.
