Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Apprentice to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will support the finance team with day‑to‑day running of the accounting function and other related finance tasks.
  • This opportunity will enable you to work across different areas of finance to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation. Supervision and support will be provided and available to you during all tasks as you achieve the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) professional qualification.
What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting month‑end financial close activities.
  • Using Microsoft Dynamics AX software to maintain the nominal ledger and accounts.
  • Performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Processing and reporting on prepayments, accruals, fixed assets and inter‑company balances.
  • Carrying out transactional processing associated with credit cards and journal entries.
  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvements in process and controls.
  • Performing other ad‑hoc duties as requested by line manager or Financial Controller.

  • Proactive and organised approach to work, with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • IT proficiency and strong Excel skills.
