Overview

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst, covering corporate directorates including Workforce and Training & Education.

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), situated in the West End of London, is one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom and provides first class acute and specialist services both locally and to patients from throughout the UK and abroad.

The post holder will be based at 250 Euston Road in offices across the road from the main hospital site and there will also be the flexibility to work remotely for part of the working week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide an all-round financial management service including planning, forecasting, cost improvement identification and tracking, and support to business cases.
  • Manage approximately £40m funding annually to support education and Training; ensure funding is allocated across the Trust to support educational needs and develop the financial modelling required to demonstrate how the funding is being spent.
  • Oversee the Workforce Directorate with a conventional financial management service and additional development opportunities.
  • Make an active contribution to the running of the Finance department, generate service improvement ideas, and deputise for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance when required.
  • Communicate complex financial information to non-Finance staff in ways that promote engagement and understanding.
