Field Service Engineer

Covering UK AND Scotland, want someone based in the Midlands.

Full Time | Permanent

A well-established and growing engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join its service team, supporting customers across the Midlands.

The Role
  • Deliver planned site works and servicing activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Working with lifts, pallets, conveyors, elevators.
  • Prepare and submit RAMS for approval prior to attending site.
  • Complete works safely and efficiently, adhering to all health & safety standards.
  • Produce accurate and timely site reports following each job.
  • Maintain company equipment including PPE, tools, and vehicle.
  • Support and assist other engineers where required.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Report near misses, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of colleagues when required.

You will work closely with management, maintaining clear communication around job schedules, site requirements, and overtime approvals.

About You
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering or field service environment.
  • Experience within the materials handling industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards (ISO 9001 preferred).
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • A proactive, organised, and safety-focused approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Qualifications & Certifications
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths & English (Grade C / 4 or above).
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • IPAF, RTITB & CSCS (or willingness to obtain).
  • First Aid trained.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office 365.
  • ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
  • DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

  • Depending on the job, could have to stay away. A lot of the time they are getting home same day, as most customers are based in that area.
