Overview

This great organisation have an exciting opportunity for a Field / Customer Engineer to join their dynamic team. FULL TRAINING will be given. The role will be to look after and work in and around the Sheffield area. Experience mending white goods has transferable skills for this role and a good level of mechanical / electrical aptitude is ideal. If you have experience in and enjoy general PC hardware and software maintenance, working with Windows operating systems, or enjoy taking things apart, mending and putting back together, this could be a great opportunity.

The role would suit an individual who is looking to advance their career in engineering/IT and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing faults, make repairs and replace modules on ATMs.
  • Installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory to ensure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Take responsibility and ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer’s satisfaction and in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements.
Candidate requirements
  • Able to work on your own with minimal supervision and manage your time effectively and proactively.
  • Good level of mechanical / electrical aptitude.
  • Experience preferred with Windows operating systems.
  • Experience is preferred in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair and basic computer hardware and software knowledge, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Enjoys taking things apart and putting back together.
  • Have good problem solving skills.
  • Can work well under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Shift patterns

5 days working, 2 days off, with a day off either side if working over the weekend. Typical shift hours are: 8am - 5pm; 9.30am - 6pm; 12pm - 9pm.
