Job Description

Field Service Engineer – Gluing Systems. This role covers the North of England, Scotland and occasionally Ireland, reporting to the Customer Care Manager. It involves repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of machinery, with an average of two days away from home per week and occasional weekend work, all paid door‑to‑door.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out field installations, preventative maintenance, equipment health checks and repairs across the broad range of our products.
  • Investigate, diagnose and rectify customer equipment faults in a timely manner.
  • Ensure continual accuracy of data entered into the service management system.
  • Identify opportunities for minor repairs and recommend them to clients.
  • Provide technical support and operator training.
  • Provide feedback to maintain good customer relations and improve product design.
  • Raise complaints where necessary and provide feedback on sales opportunities.
Person Specification
  • Qualified and experienced Field Service Engineer.
  • Knowledge of gluing systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in the packaging industry, particularly corrugated or folded cartons.
  • Minimum ONC level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
