Field Service Engineer - Vehicle / Forklift Technician

Salary: £34,000 per annum + overtime and commission

Position Type: Full Time, Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians or Engineers to join our North East Field Service Team. If you have previous experience as a Forklift Technician, Plant Fitter, Plant Technician, or have worked with agricultural machinery, powered access equipment, industrial cleaners, or motor vehicles, this role could be your ideal next opportunity.

You will be part of a supportive team of 12 engineers, working autonomously in the field. With no requirement to report to an office, your parts and tools will be delivered directly to your van, and jobs will be assigned within your local area.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of STILL material handling equipment—from pallet trucks to VNA and automated trucks.
2. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections at customer sites.
3. Deliver high standards of customer service while working independently.

What We're Looking For:

1. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
2. Comfortable working independently on customer sites.
3. A background in plant, powered access, or automotive engineering is ideal.
