Job summary

A leading material handling equipment company is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to maximize business opportunities in a defined territory in Scotland. This predominantly field-based role involves selling a full range of equipment, fostering customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. Candidates should possess strong B2B experience in logistics and have a full UK driving licence. Competitive salary with an uncapped commission package and a company car or car allowance offered.

Qualifications

  • Business‑to‑business experience ideally in capital goods equipment, logistics leasing, and contract hire.
  • High level of activity and energy.
  • Commercially minded with knowledge of storage and logistics systems.
  • Able to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
  • A full UK driving licence will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Maximise our share of all business opportunities by selling equipment within the specified geographical area.
  • Identify and promote all business opportunities and provide innovative strategies to secure profitable business.
  • Maintain relationships and develop business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Attend and participate in all regular sales meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Investigate customer complaints and account queries.
