Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. We are a successful IVF unit based in the heart of London, providing an extensive range of assisted conception treatments including IVF and donor gamete treatments.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in supporting the multidisciplinary team in caring for couples undergoing fertility investigations and treatments. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties.

  • Assist in the IVF theatre, procedure room and recovery area.
  • Chaperone and assist with running outpatient clinics.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks.
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses and the administrative team to help manage patient communications, ensuring a high level of access to nursing support for our patients.
  • The Nursing Assistant works under the direction or supervision of qualified nurses to undertake nursing administrative duties and implement clinical care planned by registered professionals, proactively monitoring and anticipating patients’ needs within the boundaries of the Job Description and the directives of the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA).

Demonstrate effective customer care and organisational skills and basic IT competence.

Qualifications

You will need two years clinical experience, an NVQ Level 3 in Health (or equivalent) and be willing to undergo further training in this area. You will also need to be able to demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to provide a high standard of patient‑centred care. Preference will be given to female candidates due to the sensitivity of the work being undertaken. This post is not eligible for Sponsorship.
