Overview

Job Title: Fencing Team Leader
Location: Eldersfield, near Gloucester
Hourly Rate: £13.00 - £14.50 dependant on experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6:45-16:00, with potential for overtime

Role summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Fencing Team Leader to lead a small team in installing timber & metal fencing in Eldersfield. You will be working on new build developments, following a project work pack, delivering on time, within budget and to the right specification. You will communicate with clients and coordinate sub contractors, monitor all aspects of the project and report back to the operations manager. The role requires you to work in line with all company health and safety policy documents and procedures, and encourage this within your team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team in installing timber & metal fencing on new build developments, working to project work packs and delivering on time, within budget and to specification.
  • Communicate with clients and coordinate sub contractors; monitor project progress and report to the operations manager.
  • Ensure adherence to all company health and safety policy documents and procedures, and promote safety within the team.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in hard/soft landscaping, arboriculture or civil engineering role.
  • Experience managing a team of operatives.
  • A full valid UK manual driving licence and CSCS card are essential.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete company documentation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience implementing health & safety policies and procedures with the right attitude to match.
  • Proactive attitude towards problem solving.
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Various construction plant certificates (desirable).
  • Good knowledge or hard/landscaping (desirable)
  • Performance management experience (desirable).
