Creative Support is seeking committed Female Support Workers for an exciting opportunity to join our team under the Transforming Care Agenda using a Trauma-Informed approach. Our Preston Trauma Service provides three single bespoke adapted support living services for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Trauma Histories. The Service operates 24/7 to facilitate the transition and support of the women as they move from long-stay mental health institutions to their own homes in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to women with their specific needs, helping them achieve personal goals and maintain control over their care.
  • Promote structure, boundaries, and routine within the home and the local community to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Support the effective running of the home, facilitating activities, completing daily household tasks, and ensuring the wellbeing of residents through consistency and predictability.
  • Work across the three services to meet the needs of all residents in line with company policies and individual support plans.
  • Engage in a person-centred approach to care, demonstrating compassion and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience of working in the care sector is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Willingness to work across multiple sites and support diverse needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
