Job description
Join Our Team as a Female Support Worker!

Part time Hours: 20 hours per week

Ipswich, IP2

Start the New Year with a role that truly makes a difference.

At Dimensions, we believe in supporting people to live life to the fullest, guided by values of Ambition, Respect, Courage, Integrity, and Partnership. As the festive season reminds us of new beginnings, we’re offering a rewarding opportunity to join our team in the local area.

You’ll be supporting two ladies in their mid‑30s who are full of energy and love to get out and about. From Zumba classes and evening discos to cinema trips, lunches out, and day centres, every week brings something new. They also enjoy family visits and holidays, so you’ll play a key role in helping them maintain those important relationships.

Your support will focus on encouragement and guidance. The ladies are independent, so your role will involve light prompting with personal care, medication, and daily routines, as well as joining them in meal preparation. At times you’ll provide 1:1 support, and at others you’ll be part of a wider team, ensuring consistency in their daily support.

Shifts include a mix of 15‑hour days and shorter 5‑hour shifts during the week, with sleep‑ins required (at least one per week). You’ll mainly work late shifts to fit around day centre schedules, with every other weekend off and rotas provided a month in advance to help you plan your own commitments.

No driving licence essential, but confidence in navigating local routes is important, whether by car or public transport.

When you join Dimensions, you’ll receive a thorough induction, full training, and ongoing support to grow your career. From completing the Care Certificate to accessing our Aspire programme and celebrating milestones with Long Service Awards, we’ll invest in your future as much as you invest in the people you support.

This Christmas, give yourself the gift of a career that matters. Step into the New Year knowing you’re making a difference every day.
