Job description

Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a 12‑year‑old girl with Autism and Learning Disabilities living in the Cambuslang area.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one care and assistance within their home and in the community and participation in social activities
• Assist with tasks such as walking and playing in the park or cycling and participating in these physical activities
• Use own vehicle to drive – mileage allowance will be paid
• Support the individual who is extremely vulnerable in the community by taking a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage involvement in activities suited to their needs
• Promote favourite activities including swimming, cycling, music, sensory experiences and socialising

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Hours of Work

Guaranteed permanent position of 3 hours per week.

Typical – Thursday 5pm – 8pm.

Occasional weekends and evenings may be required – to be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate: £12.60.
