Female care / Support Assistant - Working with 1 client with MS in their own home - Stoke on Trent Area - Car Driver essential - £12.49 per hour - 20 or 25 hours per week

Are you looking for a new role providing person centred care with the opportunity to make a real difference?

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Personal Care assistant to join one of our small, friendly teams in the Stoke On Trent area. You will be supporting our client with Multiple Sclerosis to lead a fulfilling and individual lifestyle by getting out and about in the local community and supporting her with day to day clinical tasks.

Hours available: 20 or 25 hours per week (to be confirmed).

About the Employer

Salvere Support provides care and support to clients in their own home. Our small teams of Personal Assistants deliver bespoke, person centred care to make a difference in clients’ lives. You’ll help clients live their life to the fullest, including activities such as shopping trips or trying new ideas together.

A car driver is essential and you must be able to drive the customer’s Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle. You will be working as part of a small team on a 1:1 basis, with family around to provide support when needed.

What we are looking for

You must be self-motivated, well organized, reliable and a strong team player. We are seeking Care / Support workers with experience in:

  • Personal care, continence management, and skin care
  • Moving and Handling (including hoisting and position changes)
  • Domestic duties (laundry, cleaning, nutritious meals, tidying)
  • Monitoring health and wellbeing and daily record keeping
  • Catheter care and support (Suprapubic)
  • Providing medication and nutrition through a Gastrostomy tube (PEG)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
Additional Information

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You must also have eligibility to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship.
