Job Title: Fast Track Team Leader - Suspected Cancer

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Cancer Services team as a Fast Track Team Leader. This role involves managing suspected cancer referrals received by the Trust, coordinating within appropriate timeframes, and helping us meet our cancer treatment targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Line manage a small team with support from the Quality and Cancer Performance Manager.
  2. Contact patients by telephone to arrange appointments and discuss their referrals.
  3. Encourage early attendance where necessary and highlight capacity issues for resolution.
  4. Liaise with GP surgeries regarding issues, errors, or anomalies.
  5. Use NHS systems to book patient appointments and handle referrals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a Monday; part-time hours considered.
  • Efficient, caring, proactive, and patient-focused with an understanding of confidentiality.
  • Accurate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and good telephone manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive approach.
