Retail Manager – Farm Shop & Online Operation

(rural location – own transport required)

We're looking for a hands-on Retail / Shop Manager who thrives in a busy, customer-facing environment for a well-established, award-winning food producer and retailer based in the Berkshire countryside. In a You'll combine strong commercial acumen with the ability to inspire a team and deliver exceptional results both in-store and online.

About the Role

As Retail Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience in-store and online. You must be experience at hands on in store management

Your goal will be to drive sales growth, streamline processes, and inspire a high-performing team that delivers excellence across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day shop and online operations, driving sales and profitability.
• Motivate and develop the team, creating a strong “one shop” culture.
• Oversee buying, stock control, and supplier relationships.
• Manage eCommerce activity, ensuring accurate listings and smooth order fulfilment.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, compliance, and customer care
• Champion a customer-first approach across all areas of the business.

About You

Essential skills & experience :

• Proven retail or hospitality management experience (food preferred).
• Level 3 Food Safety Certification (or willingness to achieve).
• Experience managing eCommerce operations (Shopify or similar platform).
• Strong understanding of stock management, supplier negotiation, and P&L accountability.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
