Family Caseworker – Assessment Team

Location: Middlesbrough

Contract: Temporary (initial 3 months)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Pay: £15.58 per hour (PAYE) / £19.70 per hour (Umbrella)

Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for a Family Caseworker to join Middlesbrough Council’s Assessment Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families dealing with challenges such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, and homelessness.

Role Overview:

Manage and coordinate a caseload of families affected by substance use.

Deliver targeted interventions including harm reduction strategies, psychosocial support, and brief advice.

Work alongside Young Persons Workers to provide hidden harm support to children and young people.

Facilitate a variety of sessions – one-to-one, group-based, whole-family, or remote.

Collaborate with professionals across social care, education, and partner services to deliver a holistic support package.
