Are you a dedicated and compassionate Family Solicitor looking for a rewarding role in a supportive environment? We are representing a well-established law firm in Rochdale, committed to providing exceptional legal services to the community. Due to continued growth and demand, they are seeking a talented Family Solicitor to join their busy and empathetic team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Family Solicitor with proven experience in managing their own caseload of private family matters; including divorce, finances and private children matters. While the client is open to applications from all PQE levels, the ability to independently handle cases from instruction to conclusion is paramount. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families, working within a friendly and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a diverse caseload of private family matters; divorce, finances and private children cases.
  • Conducting advocacy in court hearings, including contested hearings.
  • Drafting clear and concise legal documentation, including applications, statements, and orders.
  • Providing sensitive, practical, and clear legal advice to clients.
  • Liaising effectively with clients, Solicitors and other agencies.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess :

  • Be a qualified Solicitor.
  • Have demonstrable experience in independently running a caseload of private family matters (essential).
  • Good advocacy skills and experience representing clients in court preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, and drafting abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with vulnerable clients.
  • A proactive, organised, and resilient approach to work.
  • A genuine passion for family law and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children.
  • Accreditation to the Law Society Family Panel is desirable but not essential.
