Our client, a well-established law firm in Ashford, Surrey, is seeking a motivated and professional Family Paralegal to join their busy Family team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with at least six months’ experience to gain exposure to a wide range of family law matters, develop practical skills, and contribute to a supportive and client-focused team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to fee earners across a range of family law matters, including divorce, separation, children matters, and financial settlements
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court forms accurately and efficiently
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and third parties professionally and promptly
  • Assist with case management, maintaining accurate records and monitoring deadlines
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries as required
  • Support fee earners with administrative and organisational tasks to ensure smooth case progression
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum six months’ experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar within a family law environment
  • Good knowledge of family law procedures and court documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, client-focused approach and ability to build rapport with clients
