As General Manager for our Corby site, our largest and strategically most important site, you will hold full leadership responsibility for all manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Group Head of Manufacturing and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
- Lead and mentor a multifunctional team across Production, Engineering, Technical/Quality, Health & Safety, and Continuous Improvement.
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control.
- Collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams to deliver business growth and success

Key Accountabilities:
- Full control and oversight of factory operations
- Ensure production of high-quality Tayto branded and own-label products
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees and consumers, meeting all health, safety, and technical standards
- Ensure adherence to all customer and third-party audits, e.g. BRC, SMETA etc.
- Deliver in year financial plan for raw materials, labour, and overheads
- Deliver the plan schedule with adherence that supports customer service levels of 99% or above
- Build and sustain a strong team culture based on mutual respect and collaboration
- Develop site strategic plan that supports sustainable performance improvement long term
- Coach and develop team to create an engaging performance driven culture for Corby
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a safe site that drives high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety legislation, due diligence, and customer requirements
- Deliver plant performance that supports the growth ambitions of the Business (Great products, Great service, at the right price)
- Develop annual plans for site capability enhancement (people, assets, systems) through Capital & OPEX investment aligned to wider Business strategy
- Drive effective communication at all levels: Set & cascade objectives, timely escalation of issues to senior management and Business alignment. Effective external relationship management with key stakeholders including incumbent Union, and key OEM partners
- Drive continuous improvement practices & collaborate with other site GMs to share best practices & standardise
- Implement robust people development plans to ensure skills and behaviors' meet business needs.
- Maintain proactive engagement with union representatives to foster positive employee relations.
