About the role

We are looking for a Shift Manager to join us in our Facilities Department. Reporting to the Accommodation Maintenance Manager, the Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring daily operational plans are fulfilled and that relevant tasks and objectives are being carried out by the team, the team are in the right place at the right time to ensure we can manage fluctuating guest demand whilst keeping operational standards and guest experience high.

You will support and coach the team to ensure they deliver a great experience and are also completing both planned and reactive maintenance work in a timely manner. You will carry out works for all our accommodation, entertainment venues, restaurants, bars and public areas of the resort both internally and externally. Having specialism in electrical, plumbing or working at heights may be an advantage. Knowledge of up to date health and safety policies is beneficial.

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days including weekends, so flexibility is very important. As with all roles at Butlin's, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leader from within a maintenance environment that can support the team to deliver fantastic service. Putting the guests first in everything you do, you will have experience in training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment to deliver an excellent experience.

You should have previous experience in leading within a busy facilities or maintenance environment where a balance of efficiency and quality is important.

You should be confident to direct and respond in any situation whilst delivering consistent brand standards. The ability to lead, motivate and engage your team, even at periods of high demand is important, as well as being able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.

With strong leadership skills, you should be confident in inspiring your team to deliver amazing results for our teams and guests every day.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coach the team to deliver a great experience and complete both planned and reactive maintenance work in a timely manner.
  • Carry out works for accommodation, entertainment venues, restaurants, bars and public areas of the resort, internally and externally.
  • Utilise any specialisms in electrical, plumbing, or working at heights as needed.
  • Apply up-to-date health and safety policies and practices.
  • Work a 5-day week over 7 days including weekends with flexibility.
  • Prioritize guest experience in all activities and decisions.
