Job summary

A global real-estate service provider located in Redhill is seeking a Fabric Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintenance tasks, including repairs to floor and wall coverings, lighting, and plumbing. Applicants must have previous fabric and carpentry experience along with a City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry. You will also need a current UK driver's licence and good customer-relationship skills. Safety and compliance with health regulations are paramount.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fabric and carpentry.
  • Experience in a high-profile work environment.
  • Current UK driver's licence required.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Undertake site surveys and produce relevant documentation.
  • Use PDA for communication and work updates.
  • Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Respond to reactive works within the team
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  • Liaise with clients' representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks
  • Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Repairs floor and wall coverings
  • Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • Responsible for other building and installation works as required
  • Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's and Basic Plumbing requirements
  • Utilise PDA to complete works, key communications & updates
  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
  • Undertake minor project works
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations
  • In addition to the above duties you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager
Qualifications
  • Previous fabric, carpentry experience
  • Experience of working in a high‑profile work environment
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
  • Current UKL driver's licence
  • PC literate
  • Good customer‑relationship skills
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings, instructions & processes
  • Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
