Qualifications

  • Experience in structures engineering and analytical techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

About the Role

Are you ready to take your engineering career to new heights? We’re looking for a passionate Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the Wing Analysis Engineering team at Airbus, Filton. You’ll be part of a diverse group of technical specialists and engineering leads, all dedicated to finding innovative solutions for Airbus wing products. This is your chance to work on a wide range of projects, from incremental developments in Single Aisle and Widebody programmes to cost‑saving and airworthiness modifications. Our team is involved in every stage of the Product Development Plan, from feasibility studies to certification and in‑service support.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Approving F&DT deliverables and leading the resolution of technical challenges using advanced methods
  • Owning the technical scope of assigned projects and tasks
  • Contributing fresh ideas and engineering solutions, drawing on experience from aerospace and other industries
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members, both technically and behaviourally
  • Collaborating in a truly international and multi‑national environment, where integrity and teamwork are valued
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in structures engineering and analytical techniques
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structural design principles
  • Approver status (or close to obtaining) in F&DT analysis
  • A background in engineering, with expertise in fatigue and damage tolerance
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages and cultural awareness are a plus
  • Familiarity with Airbus tools and ways of working (Single Aisle preferred, Widebody considered)
  • Ideally, experience within Airbus and signatory status
