Job summary

A local educational recruitment agency is seeking an experienced EYFS Reception Teaching Assistant for a Primary school in Tower Hamlets. The role requires working closely with the class teacher to support students, particularly those with special educational needs, and to enhance their confidence. Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who aspires to be a Teacher?

GSL Education is currently looking for an experienced Reception Teaching Assistant for one of our client Primary schools in Tower Hamlets. The school is looking for someone who can start straight away and has experience working with individuals and small groups of children.

About theTeaching Assistant role:
  • You will be working closely with the class teacher in Reception to motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting children with special educational needs
  • Individual support should be provided to students in small groups to ensure learning is taking place
Ideal Teaching Assistant will:
  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Support pupils who have special educational needs
  • Have basic understanding of childhood development and steps to support children of various ages
  • Be helping pupils to increase their confidence and self-esteem by listening to them and devising appropriate strategies.
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Good written and oral skills
