A specialist educational service in Andover is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in a primary SEMH setting. This full-time role involves supporting children aged 5–11 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including those with additional learning difficulties. Candidates should be calm, resilient, and interested in helping vulnerable children. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, with pathways to permanent employment.

A specialist primary SEMH provision in the Andover area is seeking caring, resilient Learning Support Assistants to join its supportive team. The setting works with children aged 5–11 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, often alongside additional learning difficulties or autism. Pupils may present with challenging behaviour, and staff are supported to work within a structured, nurturing environment.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children with SEMH needs or managing challenging behaviour. Applicants with transferable experience from care, youth work, behaviour support, or mental health settings are also encouraged to apply. Full training and ongoing support are provided.
An Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce is required, or a willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
