Job Summary

3 months contract with a Local Authority

The Executive Support Officer (Admin & Clerical) will provide high-level personal assistant and administrative support within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Hertfordshire.

This is a trusted fast‑paced role supporting the Police and Crime Commissioner and senior stakeholders in the effective delivery of day‑to‑day business.

The post holder will be responsible for managing complex diaries coordinating meetings handling sensitive information and supporting multiple workstreams in a high‑profile public sector environment.

The role requires exceptional organisational skills professionalism discretion and the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.

Key Duties / Accountabilities
  • Provide comprehensive PA and executive support to the Police and Crime Commissioner and senior OPCC staff.
  • Manage complex and conflicting diaries prioritising appointments and coordinating meetings effectively.
  • Arrange meetings prepare agendas collate papers take accurate notes and follow up on actions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external senior stakeholders including police officers local authorities and partner organisations.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in line with data protection and governance requirements.
  • Support multiple workstreams simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Draft correspondence emails and reports to a high professional standard.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems (electronic and manual).
  • Support office processes administration and workflow management.
  • Adapt quickly to new systems procedures and priorities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with OPCC policies procedures and confidentiality agreements.
