Job summary

A dynamic Further Education organisation in Eastleigh is seeking a passionate Exams Access Arrangements Assessor to deliver standardized assessments and support to students. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, along with a commitment to providing exceptional service. Ideal candidates will have a Level 7 Assessors Qualification and previous experience in a similar role. Care to Join Us? We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled Exams Access Arrangements Assessor working across Eastleigh and Fareham Colleges. The information below provides more detail about the role.

Duties
  • Administering of standardised tests and diagnostic assessments to identify students specific needs.
  • Preparation of detailed reports and documentation to support applications for exam access arrangements.
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills and achieve learning outcomes.
  • Monitoring & reviewing of the effectiveness of arrangements and amending where necessary.
  • Staying updated with changes in regulations and best practices regarding exam accommodations.
  • Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
  • Liaise with teachers & support staff, ensuring that the necessary arrangements such as extra time, readers, scribes etc are in place.
  • Promote adherence to the guidelines set by examination boards and regulatory bodies.
  • To liaise closely with the exams, Learning Support, Vocational, English and Maths teachers and establish links with feeder schools and other colleges within the area.
  • Work to the standards and time constraints (covered by the regulatory body: The Joint Council for Qualifications and individual awarding bodies).
Skills / Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role or background within a support services of this nature.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills maintaining an approachable demeanor to aid a positive first impression and rapport building.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Customer focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Qualifications
  • Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Level 7 Assessors Qualification.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and take responsibility in decision‑making.
  • Flexible in approach, including travel to other campuses and where required supporting the team with all students who require health and wellbeing support.
