Exam Invigilator

Location: Wakefield College

Salary: £12.91 per hour

We are recruiting Invigilators to oversee a wide range of examinations within the college, following awarding body regulations and Heart of Yorkshire Education Group procedures.

• Check examination rooms.
• Distribute and collate examination papers.
• Brief candidates with all necessary information, including making announcements and reading out notices.
• Complete all related paperwork.
• Remain vigilant for malpractice and respond to candidate issues/problems.
• Use IT systems confidently for computer‑based/online exams.
• Be available to invigilate short and long examinations.
• May be called upon by the Group to work as and when required.
• Preferably available during peak exam periods (November, January, March, May and June) and throughout the remainder of the year.
• Zero hour ad‑hoc role with fluctuating hours based on enrolments.
• Complete training and work alongside an experienced invigilator for at least two days prior to independent sessions.
