Event Sales Manager

Location: UK-wide travel required (HQ in Essex)

OTE: £45,000 (subject to experience)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About our Client

Our client has a mission to empower entrepreneurs and business owners through dynamic, high-impact live events that create real momentum. From preview sessions to flagship training programs, they help their clients unlock rapid results and long-term growth. With over 130 events a year, they''re expanding and looking for an Event Sales Manager to take ownership of the delivery, logistics, and sales performance of their nationwide Preview Events — and help drive revenue and operational excellence.

About the Role

As Event Sales Manager, you''ll lead the delivery of Preview Events across the UK — overseeing the full production and ensuring each event runs to a high standard and hits its commercial goals. You''ll spend approximately 50% of your time on the road, running events and leading the team. The remaining 50% will be based at our HQ, where you''ll manage post-event follow-ups and support the team in converting leads into additional sales. This is a dynamic, people-focused role where you''ll wear many hats: operator, leader, driver, organiser, and closer.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Event Planning
    • Coordinate staffing with Sales, AV, and Speaker teams
    • Liaise with HQ to sign off venues
    • Ensure all stock, supplies, and travel logistics are in place
    • Make contact with venues in advance to ensure smooth handover
    • Handle any final negotiations (e.g. catering, access times) if required
    • Contribute to location selection in collaboration with the Marketing team
  • Event Delivery
    • Lead the delivery of Preview Events across the UK
    • Brief, coordinate, and manage the on-site event team
    • Monitor sales activity and energy in the room
    • Troubleshoot issues and ensure every event delivers a high standard of client experience
    • Manage logistics of travel to and from venues, including accommodation planning and driving the van where required
    • Keep track of costs and on-the-road spend
  • General Management & Leadership
    • Set the tone through leadership, communication, and professionalism
    • Lead and manage the event team to uphold standards and performance
    • Foster a high-performance, values-driven team culture
    • Represent the Preview team in company meetings and planning sessions
    • Deliver weekly reports on events, sales performance, and team activity
  • HQ-Based Sales & Follow-Up (50%)
    • Spend 50% of your time based at HQ
    • Manage and support the Preview team between events
    • Follow up with clients you met on the road to drive additional sales
    • Track and improve follow-up activity, ensuring timely and effective outreach
    • Work closely with the Sales Director to align follow-up efforts and maximise conversions
What Success Looks Like
  • A consistent calendar of well-executed Preview Events delivered each month
  • Strong overall sales performance generated by the event team
  • Effective post-event follow-up resulting in additional conversions
  • High levels of client satisfaction, feedback, and experience at events
  • Operational excellence across planning, logistics, reporting, and team leadership
  • Strong leadership presence, positive team culture, and clear performance standards upheld throughout every stage of delivery
Compensation & Benefits
  • OTE: £45,000 (subject to experience)
  • All travel and accommodation expenses covered while on the road
  • Fast-paced, rewarding, and high-autonomy role
Who You Are
  • Energetic, confident, and calm under pressure
  • Experienced in managing events, logistics, or a sales-focused team
  • Excellent at leading people and setting standards on the ground
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially sharp
  • Willing and able to travel extensively across the UK (evenings/weekends as required)
  • Comfortable driving long distances and handling van logistics when needed
