A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF



I am an 88 year old lady living in the Brynna area. In my younger days I trained as a nurse, I then went on to have four children and became a full time house wife and mother, as my children became more independent I worked in the local school as a dinner lady.

I have had a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, my husband supports and assists me full time to help me to remain as independent as possible. We are looking for a personal assistant to support with my evening routine.



PURPOSE OF JOB



To assist with the evening routine, this will include personal care, toileting, washing and dressing me for bed.







PLACE OF WORK



In the home.





HOURS OF WORK



2.5 hours a week (5 evenings a week) between 8.30-9.30





RATE OF PAY



£13.00 per hour





TASKS INVOLVED



Personal Care – washing, dressing, toileting etc.

Prompting with tasks.








TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED



A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else’s home.

A reliable and punctual person.

Someone who is calm, patient and friendly.

Someone who is sensitive but practical to my needs ensuring my dignity is upheld.







ABOUT THE JOB



Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
