Overview

Collaborating with multiple functional groups in Mondelēz International and external organizations, you develop and deploy nutrition strategies for our key brands in Mondelez International Europe Region (MEU). You shape and help to drive forward our mindful snacking strategy in region by igniting and guiding breakthrough innovations and renovations that enhance the nutrition and ingredient profile of our products, helping to build credible brand communications, and contributing to our food and nutrition advocacy efforts. You will offer nutrition thought leadership for our mindful snacking strategy and in support of the company’s growth agenda in MEU, inspiring portfolio evolution and beyond. Working with regulatory and scientific affairs, marketing, sales, consumer insights, nutrition research, and legal, you will promote nutrition and wellbeing product positionings and messages, as well as support the development and substantiation of science-backed claims used across media (packaging, advertising, websites, recipes, materials for health professionals, etc.). In this role, you will also lead internal nutrition education programs to increase employee knowledge of nutrition and represent NSC in key regional and UK&I leadership forums to shape and help drive our mindful snacking agenda in market. Leveraging your understanding of nutrition science and public health and partnering with key functions like scientific affairs and corporate and government affairs, you will inform the company’s external food and nutrition policy advocacy strategy and efforts. You will also represent the company and its business interests by serving as a nutrition expert spokesperson in key external engagements and participating in strategic industry groups, trade associations, and scientific organizations. As a member of the NSC leadership team, you will direct a remote team of nutrition professionals, located in multiple countries and covering NSC responsibilities within their business units.

  • Lead internal nutrition education programs to increase employee knowledge of nutrition.
  • Represent NSC in regional and UK&I leadership forums to shape the mindful snacking agenda.
  • Inform external policy advocacy strategies and efforts by leveraging nutrition science and public health expertise.
  • Act as a nutrition expert spokesperson in external engagements and participate in industry groups, trade associations, and scientific organizations.
  • Direct a remote team of nutrition professionals located in multiple countries, covering NSC responsibilities within their business units.
Qualifications
  • Nutrition expert with deep experience in nutrition science, communications, policy and issues management; food industry experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to convey complex nutrition concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strategic thinking; results driven; proactive and collaborative leadership; ability to inspire followership and push organizational thinking.
  • Education / Requirements: 10-15 years of experience in nutrition, working in or closely with the food or beverage industry.
