Job summary

A leading property development company in Manchester seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers a chance to work on impactful refurbishment and new-build projects. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, MRICS qualification preferred, and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in consultancy or client-side roles. This position involves providing cost advice, preparing detailed cost plans, and managing contracts while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in consultancy, client-side or development roles (non-contracting).
• Background in the living sector or PBSA is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

• Providing initial cost advice and feasibility assessments for developments.
• Preparing and managing detailed cost plans and project budgets.
• Leading commercial management from inception to completion.
• Producing tender documentation and negotiating with contractors.
• Administering JCT Design & Build contracts.
• Overseeing cost reporting and dispute resolution.
