Estimator Required in Hackney

GVR Solutions are proud to be working with a reputable and expanding drylining contractor that delivers high-quality partitioning, ceilings, and interior fit‑out solutions across a wide range of commercial and residential projects.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre‑construction team. The successful candidate will take ownership of tendering and estimating duties, ensuring the preparation of competitive and accurate bids in line with client requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to progress their career within a dynamic and specialist subcontracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for drylining, partitioning, ceilings, and interior fit‑out projects.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Prepare accurate take‑offs and bills of quantities.
• Source, negotiate, and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
• Work collaboratively with project and commercial teams to ensure smooth handovers and cost control during project delivery.
• Contribute to value engineering solutions and project risk assessments.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, rates, and pricing information.

Requirements of the Estimator:

• Minimum 4+ years' experience in an estimating role within drylining, interiors, or fit‑out.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and measurement principles.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness skills.
• Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as Bluebeam, ConQuest, or similar.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
