Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
  • Experience using ppm systems and permit to works.
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist team members and Tradespersons with repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Skills

First aid knowledge especially electric shock treatment
Knowledge of carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical/mechanical systems
Basic plumbing skills
Basic electrical awareness

Education

English & Maths GCSE Grade 4 or above or Functional Skills level 2 or equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification preferably in engineering
City & Guilds or NVQ in relevant course
Health and Safety Training
First aid at work
Safe release of trapped passengers
Competent person Water systems
TMV maintenance
NVQ level 2 or higher preferably in an engineering discipline
