John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. We are looking for an experienced professional from a facilities or contract management background, and/or with trade experience, to play a key role in our Central Estates Team. Reporting to the Director of Estates, this varied role would suit someone who has the skills to lead contract discussions, be on a roof to review an issue, and support a procurement process all in the same day.

You will have good working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations pertinent to education premises and provide the motivation and commitment to ensure standards are met and maintained. Taking responsibility for your workload, you will build positive working relationships with key personnel in our schools to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Trust schools’ estate.

Being personally organised and with a keen eye for detail, you will lead on developing centralised registers and processes. With the tenacity and diplomacy to work through challenges in a professional manner, you will have a collaborative approach, being an important addition to our dedicated Central Team.

Responsibilities
  • Have at least 3 years of working in a facilities or contract management role across multiple sites, ideally within education or public sector.
  • Be able to demonstrate the successful planning and management of complex projects.
  • Have the interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Be proficient in risk assessment and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Be highly organised with the ability to balance multiple workstreams with changing day‑to‑day priorities.

If you have a passion for excellence and share our vision, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful and progressive Trust, which is committed to ensuring learning is at the heart of all we do.
