Qualifications

Job description
ERP Project Manager - Industrial Supplies / Manufacturing & Distribution

We are looking to appoint an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead, and take direct responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of a major ERP implementation. This role is responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope and budget, while driving strong stakeholder engagement, governance and user adoption across the business.

Key Responsibilities of the ERP Project Manager :
  • The ERP Project Manager will be working closely with an external / outsourced ERP Partner, and directly manage the implementation of a new ERP solution, across the organisation.
  • Lead the day-to-day project execution and ensure milestones and timelines are met
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets and resources
  • Lead the full lifecycle of an ERP implementation project, picking up on current status of the planning phase, and seeing the project through to go-live and post-deployment support.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party partners to ensure the system is delivered on time and aligned with business needs.
  • Apply structured project management methodologies, ensuring clear documentation, governance, and reporting.
  • Oversee testing, data migration, user training, and change management activities.
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure smooth adoption across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules and budgets
Stakeholder & Team Management
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams and external consultants
  • Provide clear, regular updates on project progress, risks and issues to senior leadership
  • Lead change management activities and support successful user adoption
Risk, Issue & Quality Management
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Resolve issues promptly to minimise business impact
  • Ensure ERP configuration meets defined business requirements
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement
Budget & Vendor Management
  • Track project costs and ensure delivery within approved budgets
  • Manage vendor and implementation partner relationships
  • Optimise resource utilisation throughout the project lifecycle
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience of delivering ERP implementations (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite, Acumatica)
  • Strong project management capability (Agile, PRINCE2 or similar)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
