A local authority in Kent are looking for an Environmental Health Officer/Food Safety Officer to assist the Environmental Health team with food hygiene inspections in the district alongside other statutory functions undertaken by the Food & Safety Team.

The Role Details

  • September/October start date
  • 6 months contract
  • Hourly/PPI rates
  • Minimum 20-24 hours or 8-10 inspections per week
  • New food registrations, CAT D and CAT E inspections

What Is Required?

  • BSc (Hons) Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control (or equivalent)
  • Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB)
  • Previous Local Authority knowledge, experience and expertise in relation to Food Safety, Health and Safety and infectious disease control legislation and best practice.
