A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join their head office team in Henfield. This role involves ensuring environmental compliance across construction projects, developing management plans, and coordinating specialists. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the environmental sector and a strong knowledge of UK legislation. This position offers a balance of technical work and hands-on project involvement, supporting sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' environmental experience within construction, civil engineering, or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Proven experience developing environmental management plans and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full environmental compliance across construction and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain CEMPs, SWMPs, and permit applications.
• Oversee monitoring for air, water, noise, and biodiversity.
• Coordinate specialists including ecologists, archaeologists, and subconsultants.
• Analyse environmental data and produce accurate audit-ready reports.
