An international engineering and construction firm is seeking an Environment & Sustainability Manager to lead sustainability efforts for the Sizewell C project in Suffolk. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a degree in a relevant field, along with proven experience in environmental management within the infrastructure sector. This role emphasizes compliance, stakeholder engagement, and promoting sustainability best practices throughout the project.
Environment & Sustainability Manager - Civil Works Alliance (Contract: Sizewell C). Location: Suffolk/Ipswich - Hybrid. The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) brings together Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty to deliver the civils scope for Sizewell C, including Enabling Earthworks, Main Civil Works, Marine and Tunnelling. You will provide leadership and direction across the Sizewell C project, ensuring contractual and regulatory requirements are met, guiding delivery teams, and driving continual improvement in environmental performance and sustainability.
Partnering with the Head of Environmental Management and Sustainability, you will oversee environmental risk management, compliance and audit programmes, and lead a team of Environmental & Sustainability Advisors. You will embed best practice, support innovation, and ensure Sizewell C delivers to the highest sustainability standards.
Role requires collaboration with clients, regulators, stakeholders and delivery teams to champion environmental and sustainability initiatives across the project.
