Job description
Overview

Enterprise Sales Director - USA Market - Payments / SaaS

Location: US (Remote with travel as required)

Package: $140,000-170k fixed salary plus 100% OTE, total package circa $280-340,000 on target earnings

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced sales professional to lead our suite of digital payments product sales across the US market. This is a senior individual contributor role, reporting directly into the global C level team, with a clear mandate to drive growth in one of our most strategic target growth markets. If you’re a sales leader with deep domain knowledge across fintech & payments, and a passion for building high-value client relationships, this is an opportunity to make a real impact. We are well established globally, with a 20+ year history, but the US is a relatively new market for us.

This will be a challenging yet rewarding role, requiring a deep level of motivation & commitment to represent a new brand into a well established market - competing with native incumbents can be tough! To combat that, you’ll already have the depth of experience & network to help you open doors, and the motivation & tenacity to manage opportunities though long sales cycles. Maybe you’ve worked in a start-up/scale-up before, or perhaps operated on a challenging product line within an established organisation - if you don’t need a brand to do the heavy lifting for you, speak to us.

What you’ll be doing
• Expand market presence – open doors, engage senior stakeholders, understand & qualify their pain points, build trust & credibility, and win new business with banks, fin techs, government entities, and payment infrastructure providers.
• Deliver revenue growth – build and manage a high-quality pipeline, create effective sales strategies, and consistently meet agreed revenue targets.
• Grow existing accounts – nurture long-term relationships, increase share, and develop client advocates.
• Own the sales cycle – from shaping proposals and managing RFPs, to delivering C-level product demos and negotiating contracts, you will have the experience, tenacity & resilience to manage long sales cycles.
• Close new business with new clients across the US fintech, banking and financial services markets.
• Collaborate and partner – work cross-functionally with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Delivery, Customer Success) and external partners to ensure client success.
What we’re looking for
• Proven success as an enterprise level Salesperson (or equivalent) in the digital payments, fintech sector risk, fraud, origination or SaaS sectors, with strong experience in product-led, complex B2B sales, ideally with banks, credit unions, central infrastructures, and fin techs.
• Knowledge of payments areas such as Real-time Payments, Cross-border Payments, Merchant Acquiring, Bill Payments, Risk & Fraud Management, or Payment Modernisation.
• Established network and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in US financial services, credit union/banking associations etc.
• Familiarity with government and banking procurement processes is a plus.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Track record of consistently exceeding sales targets, team-oriented, collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
• Flexibility to travel across the US, attend events/conferences, etc.
Why this role?
• A chance to play a pivotal role in scaling sales in the US — one of the most dynamic digital payments markets in the world.
• The opportunity to shape the future of payments.
• A collaborative culture where your expertise and impact will be highly valued.
• Competitive compensation and the ability to drive your own success.
