Job summary

A dedicated teaching agency is seeking passionate English Teachers to join well-supported secondary schools in Enfield and surrounding areas. This full-time position is open to both experienced educators and Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs). Responsibilities include teaching English across key stages 3 and 4 and participation in parental evenings when necessary. You will need to hold the Right to Work in the UK and have an enhanced DBS check. Opportunities for long-term contracts or temp-to-perm roles are available.

Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate and dedicated English Teachers to work across a range of well-supported secondary schools in Enfield and the surrounding areas. We welcome applications from both Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.

Contract Details
  • Location: Enfield & surrounding North London areas
  • Position: English Teacher
  • Type of Work: Teaching English across KS3 & KS4
  • Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
  • Duration: Until the end of the academic year
  • Contract Type: Long-term / Temp to Perm opportunities
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:00am–4:00pm (plus parental evenings where required)
  • Salary: Paid to Scale
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of UK teaching experience (ECTs also considered)
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child‑barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
  • Provide two professional child‑related references covering the last 2 years
