Overview

We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving Further Education setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to ignite a love for language, literature, and communication in young people. Beginning ASAP.

Duties
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons for GCSE resits, Functional Skills, and/or A-Level programmes
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those returning to education
  • Provide constructive feedback, track progress, and maintain accurate assessment records
  • Support learners with study skills, literacy development, and exam preparation
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the English department
Ideal candidate
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
  • Relevant degree or strong subject knowledge in English Language and/or Literature
  • Experience teaching post-16 learners, ideally within an FE setting
  • Excellent communication skills and a student-centred approach as English Teacher
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults
