About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to support secondary schools in the Middlesbrough area. You will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across KS3–KS5, inspiring students to achieve their best and develop a lifelong love of English.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning goals.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
  • Contribute to students’ wider development through pastoral support and extracurriculars.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum (KS3–KS5).
