We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Five Wells, working as an English Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. Location: HMP Five Wells, Wellingborough. Salary: £29,047 - £38,124 per year, plus competitive benefits. Site Information

HMP Five Wells is a Category C prison based in Wellingborough. Built in 2022, it is a modern facility that houses a male population. The site emphasises diversity and equality and aims to make Five Wells a better place to live, work and visit through collaboration with third party partners, The MOJ and surrounding communities.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Teaching qualification and, where applicable, a relevant subject specialist qualification with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
  • Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe (Applies to Teachers in YOI only)
  • Ability to create stimulating, vibrant environments conducive to learning and motivation for learners
  • Achievement of quality targets
  • Producing accurate and timely reports
