Job description

Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a well‑regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a long‑term placement with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role

• Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum
• Support pupils in achieving their academic potential
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Be adaptable, enthusiastic and a team player
